    Enjoy your summer listening...

Mystery
With Memorial Day behind us, summer is practically here.  And longer days means more time for audiobooks.  Whether you are at the beach, driving to your vacation destination or enjoying the warm summer weather, here are some new audiobook titles to consider.

If you are looking for a good mystery, then you’re in luck.  It seems like all the big mystery authors have a new release coming this summer:

Relentless – Dean Koontz
Swimsuit – James Patterson<
The Scarecrow – Michael Connelly
Brimstone – Robert Parker
The House on Maple Street – Stephen King

If you’ve followed Stephanie Plum all the way from One for the Money to Fearless Fourteen, get ready for Finger Lickin’  Fifteen – guaranteed to have suspense, romance, and lots of good laughs.

Looking for some espionage?  Try Clive Cussler’s newest, Medusa or Brad Thor’s The Apostle.  James Lee Burke is introducing a new hero, Texas Sheriff Hack Holland, in Rain Gods.

And Fern Michaels continues to add to her Revenge of the Sisterhood series with Under the Radar (just out last month) and Razor Sharp (available in June).

Non-Fiction

Personal Growth

Business

Looking for inspiration or to learn something new?  Try out Wayne Dyer’s latest book, Excuses Begone,  or Larry King’s memoir, My Remarkable Journey.

Jumpstart a summer health plan with The End of Overeating by David Kessler, former head of the Food and Drug Administration.

One of my favorite business authors, Jim Collins (author of Good to Great and Built to Last) has a new book perfect for today’s economic climate, How the Mighty Fall: and Why Some Companies Never Give In.

Sci-Fi

Young Adult

Fantasy

Sci-Fi/Fantasy is coming of age.  It used to be the genre of a few die-hard Trekie fans, but with Harry Potter and the Twilight series, it has become more mainstream.  Thanks to all of your requests, we’ve added a few great authors and series.  Check out titles by S.M. Stirling and Jim Butcher – we get more of their titles in every month.  And we’ve found more audio publishers are picking up sci-fi.  Look for David Weber’s Honor Harrington series – the first few titles are just about to release in audio format.  Some more series with new books coming in are:

Pendragon Book 10: The Soldiers of Halla by D.J. MacHale
The Rangers Apprentice: Sorcerer of the North by John Flanagan
The Last Apprentice: Attack of the Fiend and Wrath of the Bloodeye by Joseph Delaney
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel: The Sorceress by Michael Scott

And one of my favorite young adult series – Percy Jackson and the Olympians, will reach its exciting conclusion with The Last OlympianIf you haven’t heard this series it’s perfect for a family road trip.

Fiction

and more

Finally, mark your calendars for September 15th…  After waiting 6 years, Dan Brown (The Da Vinci Code) has a new book The Lost Symbol, which will once again feature Robert Langdon.  In the meantime, happy listening!

Black Hills by Nora Roberts – July
